Scene 1
1. Malcolm went to England and Donalbain went to Ireland.
“We hear our bloody cousins are bestowed in England and in Ireland”
2. Macbeth fears Banquo because Banquo was there when the witches prophesized him to be king and Banquo has a clue that he killed the king.
“Our fears in Banquo stick deep, and in his royalty of nature reigns that which would be feared”
3. Macbeth attempts to convince the murderers of killing Banquo and Fleance by telling them that Banquo ruined their lives and he should get revenge by killing him. Macbeth saying that they can be 1 of 2 men factors the chain of being into this argument. Cowards or Soldiers.
“As hounds, and greyhounds…and so of men” (Act 3 Scene 1. Lines: 95-110)
Scene 2
1. Macbeth envies Duncan because Duncan is at peace and he isn’t.
“Better be with the dead, whom we, to gain our peace”
2. Macbeth’s state of mind is that he is paranoid. He has a feeling that Banquo knows he killed Duncan will tell everybody.
“O, full of scorpions is my mind, dear wife”
Scene 3
1. Macbeth shows his great mistrust by sending another murderer along with the two he already sent to kill Banquo and Fleance. The murderers think that Macbeth doesn’t trust them even though he is paying them to do commit the murder.
“He needs not our mistress, since he delivers our offices and what we have to do to the direction just”
Scene 4
1. The theme of order and disorder is during Macbeth’s coronation and everybody is seated in different orders according to what class they are. The theme of disorder is when Macbeth doesn’t know where to sit because Banquo’s ghost is sitting in his chair.
“The table's full”
2. Macbeth’s reaction to Fleance escaping is worried. He says that Fleance is a worm and he will grow up to a python and kill Macbeth.
“There the grown serpent lies; the worm that’s fled hath nature that in time will venom breed”
3. Macbeth sees Banquo sitting in his chair during the feast and while nobody else sees this....
