“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.” After graduation I plan on fighting my dream   to become a cosmetologist like my sister. It has always been my dream to become a cosmetologist. No matter what it takes in my life to succeed my goal I will do it. There may be obstacles along the way to overcome but I am willing to take that risk.
I have been a cheerleader for seven years now. I have put so much dedication into my team and school. Cheerleading has been in my life ever since I was in elementary school. Cheering at the football games and basketball games is so much fun. Being a cheerleader teaches you a lot. Its not about being noticed as an individual, its about being noticed as a squad. Supporting your school whether they win or lose. Knowing this is my last year of cheering at high school is a scary thought. But I know it is time for me to take step forward into my life and not to look back.
Jackson County is my home, my comfort zone, and deciding to leave to go to the University of Kentucky this upcoming fall was the hardest decision I’ve ever made. In doing so, I am placing a lot of extra’s on my plate. Things such as environment, distance, size, and money are issues I have to face. However, I am more than willing to face each one that accompanies the decision I have made.
The first two issues, environment, distance are all inevitable and come with my school choice. Adapting to a new environment is the first issue. I am use to the small, quite, calm town of Jackson County which is completely different than the way I will be living in a few months in the large, busy, city of Lexington. Distance is another issue I am facing. University of Kentucky is about 100 miles away from Jackson County. Being so far away from my family, friends, and what I know is a scary thought for me.
