I decided to go back to school and attend college at this time of my life due to my own selfishness and greed. I love the law and have always been curious about the system and how it works. I wanted to be someone that can make a difference in the criminal justice field.   It didn’t matter if it was a policeman, sheriff or a prosecutor I wanted to prove to myself I can do anything I wanted if I put my mind into it. Now that I have the time and the means I would like the opportunity to fulfill my curiosity. Also, in today's society job opportunities require a more "advanced" education than what was needed when I was younger.
    Finding work for me was very difficult and stressful; I was 17 years old and graduated from high school. I went on to SCS Business Technical Institute for computer programming.   After I completed the course the school was shut down for fraud, cashing checks without student authorization or signature.   No one wanted to give a young Spanish man with an education an opportunity in the computer industry just because the certificate wasn’t there.   I moved from Queens NY and went to the big city, Manhattan.
    This is where it all started for me, I struggled for three weeks. Finally a man I helped fix his computers spoke to me over a cup of coffee.   This man was the supervisor for New York Life Insurance and said “Today is your lucky day, come with me I will get you squared away with a job”.   The gentlemen hired me as a pc tech for New York Life Insurance. I was so grateful I dedicated most of my time to the job, nights, weekends and holidays.   After 9 months I was promoted to leader of tech department.   I was doing so well after my first year on the job I was placed on salary with full benefits making $2,950.00 a month.
    I worked for NY Life Insurance for 10 years faithfully until my grandmother passed away from a heart condition.   I was in so much pain that all I wanted to do was get away from everyone, so I moved to Pennsylvania and...
