Personal Story

My Family comes from a world where studying is what you must do to survive in life, but since my mom had plenty of siblings she had to stop studying and had to start working. Once my mom sat me down to talk to me about how she felt about school. My mom said “I always hoped my children had a better future than me so I made sure to bring you to the right place that is full of oportunities.” What she meant about a better future is that she hopes we continue with school and never give up, that we can show her we can accomplish what she wanted. She told me she loved school, and that she hoped I felt the same about it. This happened when I was in eight grade about to graduate and she saw I wasn’t excited so she felt like she should talk to me about school and about what is expected of me in the future.
After that talk it made me realize that I should be excited about graduating, I was one step closer to my future, and thats when I realized we should take all the opportunities possible not only for us but for the future people that are coming toward us.
My dreams and aspirations were all shaped from Mexico. Seeing and knowing my mom and other people who wanted to study but who didn’t have opportunities made me appreciate the world my mom brought me to because not plenty of people have these chances. A lot of people in the United States have so many opportunities and don’t take them, and the people in Mexico would have really taken all these opportunities. Thats why I would like to take the opportunity that people and my family actually wanted. All the opportunities that my mother wanted are all given to me. My mom really inspired me to do this but because I know its not only something I need for my future but because I would like to take all the opportunities I have.
These aspirations have led me to my dream of the future. My future dream is to become a nurse. I know I will have much studying to do but it will all be worth it. I will do this for my future and do...
