My pre-conception of the work is that I think it will be an interesting novel because the title says it all. The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn. It will probably have funny things in it. I will read something I have never read before. When its adventure things that have never happen to you have to happen. You might end up in trouble but you think of solutions, ways to get out of that problem. The book cover has a picture, by looking at the picture it got me thinking. It’s probably about sailing down a river seeing beautiful sites. I saw black people working. There is probably slavery still going on in the time of this book. The experiences that I bring to Huck’s adolescent life is that what happens around you that affects you makes you think different and do something that you won’t regret later because It makes you stronger and a different person. The ideal adolescent I believe is when you want to experience for yourself. Most of the time you don’t listen to your parents or people who care for you when they tell you what’s right or wrong. So you go ahead and do what you think is right. Then every thing comes out wrong. But sometimes its backwards. My pre-conceptions and experiences will affect my reading of this novel because as I read I will discover how it relates to me. What kind of choices Huck makes and what that leads to. Also if what I thought was going to happen was right.
