Governments and Private Organizations all over the world are playing a part in a making a
difference in an individuals’ lives. Most countries continue strive for excellence and come
together and form organizations/ partnerships and give benefits and priority to its members.
Southern African Development community(SADC), The Economic Community of West
African States(ECOWAS), Care International, The Commonwealth Countries, United
Nations and more than 150 organizations that help in eradicating poverty all around the
world.

These organizations help people earn a living by taking them to them to school, donating
food and shelter ,teaching them skills and ideas of becoming successful in their lives,
together with empowering the youth not only to give up because life maybe harsh on them
but to give them new ideas about living a productive life.

Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC), an effective organization in Botswana. This
organization focuses on the youth because they believe poverty can only be eradicated if the
youth start doing something productive. This country is a member of the Southern African
Development Community (SADC) which its main purpose is to eradicate poverty in
Southern Africa. Botswana National Youth Council works to empower the youth from ages
(18-35) who are out of school. This council strives to empower and inspire the youth to

become leaders and to actively participate in the development of the country, in a
transparent, accountable and efficient manner.
This council helps to guide youth in registering businesses so that so that they can have an
